Kids Have High Hopes for Obama

Over 500 UK kids give their views on Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States of America took his oath. Their words show they are fed up with racism and poverty and are looking to Obama to drive global change.

'I hope that Obama will change the way other people think. Black people could be respected more and everyone will act differently. I hope he makes it.' Lauren, 11, UK
Hopes are high that America's first black president will "change the difference between black and white" as one school child from England posted on the special Obama Forum. Run by Intuitive Media on one of their safe social networking sites. The forum had over 500 kids participating during the new President's inauguration and in the immediate aftermath.
